Presentation – “Who Were YOU Born to Be”:

Dear Steve,
Thank you for your presentation to the workNet Dupage Career Center Job Club on Friday June 10, 2011 about “Who Were You Born To Be?”
I found this is a topic of great concern for the job seekers who average 45-55 years old. Reinvention is a continuous process necessary for career growth that job seekers often neglect and are afraid to confront.
The job seeker comments exclaimed your dynamic presence and enthusiasm for your topic. It was quite evident that your concerns for helping people achieve their full potential came across throughout the presentation. Your handout was thought provoking and was great for helping tie individuals’ experiences and mentors to possible pathways for the future.
I personally found your presentation motivating and gave me the encouragement and strength I need to pursue some of my projects.
I thank you again for sharing your experiences and guidance with the job club attendees and wish you the best of success in your future endeavors. I will strongly recommend you to several of my colleagues and look forward to working with you in the future.
Sincerely,
- Jim Fergle

“Steve Olsher has a message that we all need to hear, but especially young adults on the brink of life and work. His concepts are original. His stories are relevant to young adults and he is a skilled facilitator and empowers his audience to apply key concepts to their lives. I’m very pleased with his work at Columbia College, Chicago. He held the interest of a very creative group of arts-related majors and I learned a lot too. I would recommend Steve wholeheartedly.”

Book Reviews – Journey To You: A Step-by-Step Guide to Becoming Who You Were Born to Be
“Unlike conventional self-help guides, Journey To You enables you to achieve fundamental change at the deepest level of your being — change that embeds within you and becomes inseparable from your thoughts and actions. Journey To You is a quest for the most precious of destinations: your true self. Let Steve guide you through it.”
- Autumn Blues Reviews
“Thank you so much for the gift of “The Journey to You”. There are no words to express the gratitude I feel for people like you sharing your masterpiece freely with the world.
I worked through the entire journey in one weekend, unable to put it down for one moment. This is by far the best, most liberating personal development process I have ever come across
. Obviously it takes most people a lot longer than a weekend to work through so much terrain, so please don’t think I did the exercises superficially.I would love to share how this journey is impacting my life and completing my re-invention process but I don’t quite know where to begin. For the past 3 years, using different formats and the same kind of process presented in different ways, I have been working my way back to The Pinnacle. So a lot of the ground-work had already been done and “The Journey to you” just refined and polished the results I have already got so far. There is still a way to go before I reach The Pinnacle but I was absolutely amazed and delighted to discover my WHAT, which is teaching metaphysical principles to people in leadership positions. This discovery could not have come at a better time and stage in my journey. I recently got a job at the French Consulate which did not seem to be aligned in any way with my vision, purpose and goals. I was not even looking for a job- but while making a transition from church ministry to starting a spiritual coaching practice it seemed like an opportunity not to be missed. I immediately realised that my colleagues need to learn how to apply metaphysical principles but I had no idea how I could introduce it in the context of my working environment. “The Journey to You” was like a roadmap, showing me exactly what to focus on in terms of my pre-sent future, while developing the unconscious competence necessary to make my desire to teach metaphysics possible.
I hope you have the opportunity to visit South Africa one day and if ever this opportunity presents itself I would love to help you host a re-invention workshop for my circle of influence. Blessings to you, Lena and your two wonderful boys.”
- Tabitha Monale, Life and Spiritual Coach; Inter-Faith Minister
“I get a lot of self-help gurus and most have been excellent and helpful. The thing that makes Steve stand out though is his organization of the book. I can see why it took 26 months to write. It is well thought out and its construction is linear, but even without going through every exercise you will keep getting closer to finding your WHAT. This is the direction that deep down is WHAT you were born to do (or really feel is became your calling). Steve is challenging (and giving you the clear road map) you to examine your life and make sure WHAT you’re doing is your TRUE WHAT. Put out the effort and you may become a happier, more effective human being.”
- Allen Mutant, San Bernardino, CA
“I can’t stand many self-help books but this one blows the lid off the conventional model. The exercises are invigorating and the information powerful. Well done!”
-Cathie Borrie
“I teach in an adult male prison and my students are enjoying “Journey to You”. Very well written; offers hope and direction for everyone!”
- Janice Chamberlin, “the prison teacher”
“A friend told me about Journey To You and I was really skeptical. Most “self-help” books that talk about helping you find your true calling ask a million questions but don’t help uncover any answers. But the author is from Chicago so I figured ‘Why Not?’ After a few pages I realized that his book was different. It is well written, humorous, and poignant but most importantly, the exercises are powerful. It really helped me embrace and fine tune my vision of what I want to be… how I want to contribute to this world. You have to answer some questions, sure, but they’re the right ones. I highly recommend it.”
- Sima R. Dahl, Chicago, IL
“The most insightful aspects of Journey To You dare to ask what is it we’re living for, what is it that we want in life, and what are we doing to get it. This book reaffirmed the fact that I have been on the right path. However, the book opened my eyes to a way of staying better focused on my dreams by getting out of a comfort zone and traveling into unknown territory to help my vision grow. I would recommend this book because it is coming from an honest place. Mr. Olsher seems to sincerely want to help people discover who they are and find the thing they are most passionate about, and gives them great tools to succeed.”
- Robin D.
“Journey to You is for everyone. This is a “guide to your life” handbook which you can refer to for years to come. You don’t have to be in the middle of a “life crisis” to enjoy the rewards of it’s contents. Steve Olsher has created an organized and simple way to evaluate what’s important to you. Following Steve’s exercises, you will have a clear and easy to understand guide to becoming who you were born to be. The thoughtful design of the evaluation exercises can be updated in time to keep you on your journey. They will remain relevant for a life time. I highly recommend this book to everyone. Great work, Steve!”
- Startingover Andy
“I really enjoyed this book. It was easy to read and included great content that I will able to apply in my life. I also plan to share this with many of my coaching clients.”

“When it comes to the reinvention of one’s self it sounds overwhelming and even scary, but Steve Olsher helps put reinvention into perspective. Steve’s straight-forward and no holds barred approach helps break down the barriers of negative and pessimistic thinking and helps you understand who you were meant to be, not who you were influenced to be. Steve is a thought-provoking and entertaining guest. He is always welcomed back to the Mancow show.”
